157 DAYS.

It’s been 157 days since I first tried to initiate this program. Since then, I’ve reached out to countless sources for implementation — the Clarke County School District, the school board, the county office—anyone who might listen. I’ve called every center I could, politely asking to speak with someone. I spent weeks designing and scripting interactive worlds on Roblox, building 3D-modeled vehicles for students to use, and creating this website as a hub for college resources and creative exploration. It was meant to be something accessible, something that could inspire. I created this program because I felt lost in high school. I had no direction, and I was always confused when other students knew their passions and what they wanted to do in life. Because of this, I wanted to motivate other students who might be feeling the same way. I wanted to expand. In the end, there is no program. But that’s okay. This journey wasn’t about getting a yes; it was about trying. And in trying, I built something meaningful—I learned, I grew, and I created. So I walk away from this experience not with frustration, but with gratitude. Because every step, every attempt, was worth it. This experience will prepare me for my future, and in doing so, I hope to change the world in one way or another. Finally, I want to thank every staff member at my university. Each and every person I reached out to from UGA was so kind in offering me help while leading me to the right contacts to put this program in place. Additionally, I want to give a huge shoutout to the Fanning Institute. They were paramount in contacting so many officials at Clarke County. ‎ ‎ ‎ You made this process worthwhile, and for that, I am incredibly grateful. ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ Stay Creative,‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ Joshua Were
